Spicy Steak and Potatoes

Makes 4 servings

  • 1 1/2 lbs flank, sirloin, strip loin, tenderloin steak
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce (I use Sriracha)
  • Pepper

Cute steak into strips, about 1/4 in thick each. In a large bowl, combine steak with soy sauce, oil, hot sauce and pepper. Mix well and set aside to marinate while cooking potatoes.

  • 1 1/2 lb baby yellow potates
  • 2 Tbsps olive oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil on medium heat. Slice potatoes in half and add to the skillet. Cook about 5-6 min, stir and cook an additional 5-6 min. Make sure the potates are fork tender. Transfer to a plate. Keep the skillet on medium heat.

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Crushed red chili pepper flakes

Add the above ingredients to the skillet. Lay the steak strips in one layer in the skillet, keeping the marinade for later. Cook the strips to your likeness; we like steak well-done, so about 3-4 min each side. When your steak is done, add the remaining marinade to the skillet and cook 2 min longer. Next, add the potatoes to the skillet and mix all together. Heat thouroughly. Remove from heat and serve.

ENJOY!
